Israel Class with Reb Aura

Saturday, August 10, 2019 9 Av 5779

11:00 AM - 12:00 AM

Do you wish you had a way of learning about Israel that was nuanced, interesting, sensitive and open to a wide spectrum of views? Do you find the politics of Israel a turn-off? Then this is the class for you.

This values-based framework for exploring the land of Israel is designed specifically for those seeking a safe space for learning about the land. Israel is a magical and mysterious realm, seat of our people’s history, culture, and imagination. It gave birth to the monotheism that reverberates to this day. It is also a place that inspires violently clashing opinions on how best to engage and be supportive of it.

This class is for those seeking a way to learn about Israel without it feeling divisive. It is for those seeking to know what is relevant about the land, and why we should care about it today.

By enrolling in this class, you are committing yourself to learning more about Israel, its history, and the Jewish values that it gave birth to. By the conclusion of the course, you will have learned fascinating connections between ancient history and today, be able to better explain your views, and appreciate those who disagree.
